Ok. So I just got back in from a day of trendspotting in SoHo, a fashion show at a midtown club, and a friend’s birthday party…it’s been a long long day. All and all it has been a good day. Spent some time with my kid sis and a few friends. The only bad part of the day was the fashion show.
I’m not going to name the designer or the location of the event. All I am going to say is that I was severely disappointed by what the designer tried to pass off as couture evening wear. I hate to be a hater, but for the price points she quoted to me, I could have gotten something better at Pretty Girl (for those of you in the NYC area, you may be familiar with that chain of $10 clothing stores that the little teeny boppers tend to frequent). It was sad. But next week seems to show some promise for better shows.
