I just got an email from Shaunta Macklin, a Brooklyn-based actress, who is doing her thing on the stage. She has a few upcoming performances that are definitely a must-see. Check out her message below:
— Email from Shaunta Macklin–
It’s Shaunta. I am performing in two great plays back to back. Soul Love and back by popular demand, The March written and directed by Florence Mills.
Soul Love is the dramatic expression of what it is to be Black in America. It is dramatic monologues and poetry expressed through dramatic choreographic movements which deals with matters of the heart and soul and how that reflects upon us in our society.
The March is a play about four women who meet at a march. They reveal secrets about their life struggles that will change their lives forever. Each of the characters represent a need within our society, a fragment of who we are.
