Literary, Arts and Culture Magazine Searches for the Industry’s Next Big Emerging Artist

CHARLOTTE , NC – October 16, 2007– Calling all artists! Do you think you have the style, pizzazz, talent or skill that will make you shine? Think you’re the industry’s “next big thing?” If so, then the staff of State of the Art and Culture (SOTAC) Magazine ( ) is looking for you! The North Carolina-based independent arts and culture magazine is currently scouring the country for the best artists in the music industry-musicians, spoken word artists/poets, singers, songwriters and bands to grace the cover of their 4th Annual Music Issue, hitting stands Spring 2008.

Interested participants in the cover talent search will be judged in three categories (Creativity, Originality and Overall Talent), with contestants being judged by a panel of professionals from the music industry.

Since its founding in 2004, SOTAC has featured some of the hottest emerging talent including:  Thievery Corporation, Sherwin Gardner, John Peter West, DJ Chela, Parallel, Shakti, Akil Dasan, DJ Jamad, Hobex, Rudy Currence, Shadow Flag, Craig Doyle Henry, Jessica Johnson, A Sign of the Times, Eric Green, Cattletruck and The Phenotypes.
