Eleven Vie for the title of Miss Brooklyn, A Preliminary Step Towards the Miss America Crown
MARCH 18, 2010— BROOKLYN, NY— With the Miss Brooklyn Pageant (www.missbrooklyn.org) less than two weeks away, the race for the crown is getting heated. Eleven beauties are vying for the title and a scholarship, a preliminary step in the hunt to be Miss America. Poised to relinquish her title, current Miss Brooklyn, Keelie Sheridan, is throwing her hat in the race for Miss New York, continuing her journey to the coveted top tiara’d title. Sheridan hopes to follow in the steps of former 2008 Brooklyn title holder, Leigh-Taylor Smith, who went on to become Miss New York and the 3rd Runner Up for Miss America.
