Famed jazz musician, Angel “Papo” Vazquez, is teaming with the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts (www.clefclubofjazz.org) along with local business owner, Howard Feigenbaum to share the gift of music with the next generation. On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, Papo Vazquez will be conducting a master class and \nconcert for the students of PS173

in Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood. The music event will serve as a fundraiser for the elementary school’s music program.

“A couple of months ago, I responded to a need for help from a music teacher at. PS173, my alma mater, ” said Howard Feigenbaum. “I remember being in third grade and getting a recorder and just how special that was. Well, music is making a come back, but as we know, there isn’t a lot of funding. I reached out to, Papo, who does this [regularly] in inner-city schools and he agreed to hold a master class and concert for the kids at PS173.” The Papo Vazquez Workshop Fund (care of The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz) will be picking up half the cost for the event and Feigenbaum has guaranteed the other half. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, 2019, the last day of the school year.

South Florida Event Series Kicks Off with Fashion ‘Day Party’ in Miami
