Panelists for 3rd Annual Caribbean Women’s Empowerment Event Announced


TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS– Janette Brin, Publisher and Founding Editor of Caribbean Posh Magazine, announced that the third annual PoshGirl Power Brunch will be taking place on May 19th at The Moorings Marina in the heart of Road Town, Tortola.

The POSHGirl Power Brunch is a one-day event created as an intimate gathering focused on inspiration and empowerment with some of the most influential women from across varied industries including fashion, beauty, finance, and marketing sharing their unique stories about their journey to business success. Attendees get an insider’s view designed to educate, motivate and embolden. This year’s theme is “Resilience”– fitting after the region’s 2017 hurricane season.

“The POSHGirl Power Brunch is quickly becoming the leading empowerment event in the Caribbean, and we are just ecstatic about the level of interest from around the Caribbean,” says Janette Brin. “It’s a posh style event that is fun and exciting it provides a great networking opportunity to further our entrepreneurial endeavors. NEW YORK CITY– Hearts of Gold (, a not-for-profit organization that fosters sustainable change in lifestyle and levels of self-sufficiency for homeless mothers and their children, invites the community to participate in the organization’s fourth annual “Walk for Kids” Fundraiser.
“This year, Hearts of Gold celebrates 20 years of bringing joy and confidence to homeless families. Register to walk with us, or donate to help improve the lives of New York City’s homeless mothers and children, by visiting,” said Deborah Koenigsberger, Founder & Executive Director of Hearts of Gold.
The one mile Walk will be held in New York’s Riverside Park on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Enter the Walk by visiting and clicking on the 2014 Walk logo, or enter on the morning of the Walk between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m. ($10 youth; $25 adult). Check-in for pre-registered participants begins at 8:00 a.m. Entrance to the Park is at 83rd Street and Riverside Drive. Fundraisers along with moms and kids from the shelters the organization supports will walk along a one-mile path through the park. At the finish line, participants will celebrate with games, prizes and refreshments. Proceeds fund Hearts of Gold’s children’s programs at the organization’s adopted shelters, which include providing school supplies and clothing, after-school activities, tutoring, meals, summer camp scholarships and day trips to cultural attractions.
Celebrity participants in the Walk include Rhonda Ross, an Emmy Award nominated actress and singer/entertainer, who will be performing the National Anthem; and Amy Carlson, star of the CBS hit show Blue Bloods, who will assist in starting the race.
Founded in 1994, Hearts of Gold has raised more than $7 million to help homeless New York City families exit the city’s shelters and thrive on their own. The organization supports more than 1,000 mothers and children in residence annually in shelters operated by Nazareth Housing, Semiperm and Freedom House. The Ladies Who Lunch Heads to Atlanta


NEW YORK, NY – June  2013—The Ladies Who Lunch ( founder, Latisha Daring, is bringing the movement to Atlanta. The third stop on a four city tour, the Ladies Who Lunch is an empowerment lunch series that focuses on women entrepreneurs who aspire to impact their communities and the world-at –large through their business ventures and strategic partnerships.
