NEW YORK, NY– New York-based independent beauty expert and consultant, Rayyan Akhdar, announced today that she will be launching her own independent beauty brand, Nayyara Beauty in July. The highly sought after beauty creative will be hosting the brand’s debut event on July 19th in Brooklyn.

Rayyan Akhdar is quickly establishing herself as a “one to watch” for her talents with both hair and make-up within the fashion and beauty industries. ThePaul Mitchell trained beauty maven has had her work featured in publications including Cover Time and Who Wore That Magazines and has worked with established and emerging brands alike such as Ashley Stewart, Amber Poitier, Izavel Varela, the Underwraps Agency and Terilyn K Bridal.Rayyan’s work has also appeared on the runways of both New York and Full Figured Fashion Weeks.

“I actually started out in college as a pre-med major, but my true calling was cosmetology,” said Rayyan Akhdar. “I have always been a creative soul and was always experimenting with my sisters’ and friends’ hair and makeup. It just felt so natural to me and after touring Paul Mitchell, I realized that beauty was where my heart was and I had to follow it. That was the best decision I ever made. I fell in love!!! From there my passion for hair and makeup continued to blossom and that’s when Nayyara Beauty was born. I truly love what I do and I am extremely grateful to the talent God has gifted me with and want to continue to share my happiness with the world.

Nayyara Beauty, Akhdar’s start-up beauty brand, will debut later this month as a platform for her to showcase her work as well as a medium to share tips, recommendations, tutorials and more. Eventually Rayyan hopes to develop her own beauty line under the Nayyara Beauty name.

Rayyan will host a private, invitation only event in a picturesque loft in Brooklyn. The beautiful venue located at 161 Stockholm Street, will serve as a backdrop for the showcase of Ms. Akhdar’s work and the debut of the Nayyara brand.

New York’s Native Elianor Launches the Beauty Box Expo Series Tour Catering to the Wedding and Beauty Industries

NEW YORK CITY— Native Elianor,  the highly successful New York-based hair and make-up industry professional and CEO of GlamMuaHds, announced the launch of her newest venture, The Beauty Box Expo, International. A series of beauty and bridal centric events, the Beauty Box Expos (BBE) are one day events designed to showcase and educate attendees through interactive experiences featuring new and established brands alongside the most innovative products and services in the wedding, hair, cosmetics and skincare industries. The series kicks off with its inaugural events in New York City on June 7th and 8th at Shadow Boxers, located at 215 West 40th Street in midtown Manhattan.

“From a very young age, fashion has been my life,” says Beauty Box Expo Founder, Native Elianor. “Since I was 12, I have been making people look and feel beautiful—whether it was through hair, make-up or styling. I wanted everyone to look fab. I started BBE as a way to reach a larger audience. Along with a great group of colleagues, I can provide advice, tips, services and more. On June 7th, BBE launches the Bridal Expo. This day long event is designed to bring together future brides, grooms and couples renewing their vows with vendors and brands from the wedding community. This is a “one-stop-shop” for all things bridal—from the engagment to the nuptials to the golden anniversary and everything in between. With live wedding fashion presentations and demonstrations from noted industry professionals including: Laramie Glen, celebrity Make-up artist and Founder of Book Your Look and Aleetha Clanton, CEO and Founder of the Glass Slipper Wedding Boutique, couples get a chance to plan their wedding in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Beauty Expo, on June 8th, is a one-day beauty fest catering to industry professionals featuring panels, demonstrations, new product launches and more. The focus is to foster real connections between brands and professionals. Attendees have an opportunity to interact directly with vendors and leading experts through hands on expreineces and one-on-one meetings.  New York, NY – Ann Nahari (www.ann-nahari.com), the Los Angeles based luxury plus brand, announced today that its Spring/Summer 2014 collection will debut during the famed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Featuring the classic yet modern designs of Sumiyyah Rasheed, the highly anticipated presentation will take place on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Select Space, located at 315 West 39th Street in the heart of the Garment District.

Known for creating high end plus size ready-to-wear and lingerie, Ann Nahari is a well established global fashion brand who has successfully shown collections in Dubai and Istanbul. The brand targets curvaceous women sizes 14-22 who seek quality fabrications and impeccable fit. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection was inspired by the designer’s southern California beach lifestyle complete with a sensual yet serene color palate featuring vibrant blues and pinks in contrast to classic black and white.

Just as with her American debut last season, Sumiyyah Rasheed (the design mind behind the full figured collection) has enlisted the Underwraps Agency (www.theunderwrapsagency.com) to cast and produce this season’s presentation. Ann Nahari has also teamed with the famed Japanese creative services agency, Augment (http://augment.cc), who will be creating hair and make-up magic for the showcase.
