PRESS RELEASE: Luxury Curvy Brand, PLY APPAREL, to Showcase Fall/Winter 2016 Collection During New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK, NY–  Luxury curvy brand, PLY APPAREL announced today that it will be showcasing its Fall/Winter 2016 Collection during New York Fashion Week. The runway show, entitled 2.12 The PLY Experience, featuring classic yet modern designs, will take place Friday, February 12th in the famed Johannes Vogt Gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

Launched in 2013, PLY Apparel has quickly become synonymous with creating high end ready-to-wear collections. Headed by creative couple Pamela and Lamarr Nanton, the boutique brand caters to the curvaceous woman, who seeks quality construction and impeccable fit in sizes 8-22 with extended sizes available.

In addition to empowering and inspiring curvy and full figured women, PLY has a secondary mission—it is in the fight against breast cancer. Recently, Pamela celebrated 10 years of being cancer free.  She has often stated that fashion helped her live through cancer and Nanton pays it forward by having the fashion line help others survive. Each season, the creative couple donates a portion of the proceeds from the collection to continue the fight.

The invite only event will begin with a VIP cocktail reception followed by the show. Guests will be treated to the musical stylings of Johnny King (hailing for the same talented family as renowned singer Evelyn “Champagne” King) followed by the designer’s trunk show at 7pm.

Teams with Japanese Creative Services Team, Augment

 New York, NY – Ann Nahari (www.ann-nahari.com), the Los Angeles based luxury plus brand, announced today that its Spring/Summer 2014 collection will debut during the famed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Featuring the classic yet modern designs of Sumiyyah Rasheed, the highly anticipated presentation will take place on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Select Space, located at 315 West 39th Street in the heart of the Garment District.

Known for creating high end plus size ready-to-wear and lingerie, Ann Nahari is a well established global fashion brand who has successfully shown collections in Dubai and Istanbul. The brand targets curvaceous women sizes 14-22 who seek quality fabrications and impeccable fit. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection was inspired by the designer’s southern California beach lifestyle complete with a sensual yet serene color palate featuring vibrant blues and pinks in contrast to classic black and white.

Just as with her American debut last season, Sumiyyah Rasheed (the design mind behind the full figured collection) has enlisted the Underwraps Agency (www.theunderwrapsagency.com) to cast and produce this season’s presentation. Ann Nahari has also teamed with the famed Japanese creative services agency, Augment (http://augment.cc), who will be creating hair and make-up magic for the showcase.

“This is my second season working with the talented Nailah Lymus of the Underwraps Agency.  I’m happy she’s onboard to bring the vision to life,”said Ms. Rasheed. “I’m also excited and honored to collaborate with Augment — I am sure they will bring an international flair which will enhance the ambience of the collection.”

The Ann Nahari Spring collection will be available for viewing to invited guests at noon, 2 and 4pm.
