Famed Luxury Swimwear & Resort Brand to Debut 2015 Collection during Fashion Week LA

NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES–  After a recent hiatus, luxury resort and swimwear designer Stacey Williams announced today that she will be debuting her 2015 collection during Fashion Week LA next month. The capsule collection, entitled Surf & Curves: A Burlesque Experience, will mark the much anticipated return of Williams’ Stay by Stacey Angela brand. The showcase will take place on March 14th at the Runway Boutique in Los Angeles’ famed Miracle Mile.

Stay by Stacey Angela has always represented the jet-setting women in my life who live to look fabulous,” Ms. Williams said.  “My brand makes women feel confident and sexy—like our favorite fashion icons throughout the years.  We are all iconic in our own way. The re-launch of Stay by Stacey Angela showcases the icon in all of us.”

Credited by some for creating the “crochet” wear trend, Stay by Stacey Angela established itself from its onset as a sexy, edgy brand for the jet-setting woman with her own unique style sense. Found in the most chic boutiques in fashion capitals around the world including Los Angeles, Miami and Tokyo, this distinctive line graced the pages of some well-known publications including the Miami Herald, Lincoln Road Magazine, Complex, and NYLON as well as featured on Vh1 and America’s Next Top Model. Ms. Williams’ creations are quickly becoming coveted pieces by the celebrity world and has been spotted on the famed curves of Natalie Stewart (the “Floacist” of R&B duo, Floetry) and Angie Stone.

A huge fan of vintage fashion, pinup culture and the sex appeal of burlesque, the Surf & Curves collection was inspired by the beauty of women in all their various shapes and the desire to create the confidence to go with it. Teaming with Lauren Tyler, the principal make-up artist of IV Valentine Makeup Artistry, Inc. and the Founder/Curator of Afro-Pinup— which celebrates brown women in burlesque and performance art, Stacey Williams will be presenting the capsule collection during an evening of fashion, shopping and cocktails at Runway Boutique, located at 807 South La Brea Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. Hosted by the personality behind the celebrated blog, The Curvy Socialite, Tamara Walker, the event will bring together some of LA’s most influential tastemakers, fashion insiders and press while raising awareness about Epilepsy, one fashionista at a time. The presentation will take place from 5 to 9pm on March 14th for an intimate gathering of invited guests.
