This Week it was “All About Brooklyn!”

As the week comes to an end, I realize that I haven’t even had a moment to even rest and update everyone on what has been going on. So here goes…

Monday was the All About Brooklyn event at Equinox in Brooklyn Heights. Founder and President Sharon Beason, put together an amazing event that brought out some of Brooklyn’s finest as well as some other favorites from across the river.

The event, sponsored by Hint Water, Rioja wines, Bacardi Silver, and Shepsmeri Catering brought out some of the city’s sophisticates including Shaunta Macklin (actress), Alicia Francis (event planner), Valerie Greene of Spanglish MagazineJonathan Bodrick of Harlem’s BORN Vintage Boutique (who also did the videography for the night’s event),  Onika Pascal (poetess/author), celebrity make-up artist Jewel Whinfield, the Victoria Agency founder Angela Hunte, Miss New York United States 2007 Amaris Acosta and her publicist Roni McCallister as well as visitors from across the pond, London’s The Reluctants .

The evening of networking, cocktails and hors d’ouerves (ok, every one, Shepmeri is probably one of the best catering companies in the world. The crowd was mobbing the waiters for some of the most tasty treats) was capped with a mini fashion show featuring the designs of Harlem’s own Theo Hackney of Theo Courtnay Designs (a show that was produced by yours truly). Special thanks to the models Edena, Teresa and Mahkina and make-up artist Blacque Sutherland. I’ll post images as soon as they are available. Teresa, model and my sister, proclaimed it “this week’s best event (and she’s not just saying that because she’s my sister!)!”

The rest of the week had me popping in (despite the rain) No Mas NY’s NBA Draft Party (Wednesday) and the Swoon Magazine event at Beauty Bar (Thursday). Kudos to NY PR Diva friend and favorite Styleaholic Najwa Moses for her feature in Swoon’s current issue.

Tonight I took it easy to catch up on some paperwork (oh joy) and update you guys on the week (happy happy joy joy).

So as 11:30 approaches, it’s time to wrap things up. Until next time….
