New Jersey-based accessory designer, Meca McKinney of leather goods brand, Jypsea (www.jypsea.com), announced today that she will debut her Fall/Winter 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week. The new collection, entitled “Urbane Jungle” will be showcased as part of Peoples Resource and Development Association’s (P.R.A.D.A.)“Fashion for a Cause” event at the Dwyer Center, located at 258 Saint Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan, on February 12th.
Urbane Jungle draws inspiration from Meca’s appreciation of the intricate free forms found in the wilderness. Utilizing exotic skins in her latest collection, McKinney has created a chic, sophisticated collection that marries a polished look with a wild, untamed feel as unique as the beasts that inspired the collection. Urbane Jungle also will be the unveiling of Meca McKinney’s foray into home accessories and loungewear.
“Fashion for a Cause” is a two part soiree that consists of a shopping event featuring Jypsea and a select group of independent designers followed by a fashion show. All event proceeds will benefit the Anti Generation Genocide Teen Anti Violence and Entrepreneur Program.
